How it plays
- One new case every day, the same for everyone, about 3 minutes. Everyday mysteries, not crimes.
- You choose which clues to open (only two), say how sure you are, and see how your reasoning held up, judged on the clues you opened. "Not enough evidence yet" can be the best answer.
- Nine thinking skills, each tracked in Case Files: Spot the misleading chart, Find the missing evidence, Cause or coincidence?, Update your belief, Find the hidden assumption, Predict the consequence, Spot the sales trick, Weigh the odds, Make it fair.
- No energy timers. Curios are earned by playing well and never sold.
- Junior settings, with a grown-up check before sharing, links out and purchases.
- Case Pass: 30 bonus cases the moment you join, then 3 new ones every week, every past daily case, and Case Pass accessories.
- Holiday cases through the year, starting with Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Why one short case a day
Short, regular practice where you work the answer out yourself is one of the best-supported ways to make learning stick, so Cluenomy is built around one case a day. Each case is a small, harmless example of an everyday trick, and every case asks "How sure?", so players can see how well their confidence matched the evidence.
